Flight 447 Plane Crash Has Unanswered Questions!

Many people are wondering what happened in the Flight 447 plane crash. In fact, the possibility that the actual cause of the crash will be found is decreasing each day. However, as the pieces come together and more pieces of the puzzle are found, there are some definite theories on what may have happened to this Air France plane.

At first there were questions about whether the Flight 447 plane crash occurred by exploding in the air or whether the jet smashed into the ocean below. The Brazilian Navy did find the tail of the jet, which makes it more likely that the jet did blow apart while it was in the air. According to experts, the tail would probably not stay in tact had the plane actually hit the ocean.

Storm winds were raging over the ocean when Flight 447 was in flight, and many question as to why the plane should have been allowed to fly into the storm to begin with. Just four minutes before the plane crashed, it was found that the autopilot was turned off. This gives credence to the possibility that pilots were trying to navigate the plane themselves through this violent storm.

Of course with the heavy storm and the bad winds that were reported, it was difficult to deal with the storm. The idea is that the pilots may have tried to get through this storm and by overcompensating the tail of the plane may have been torn off.

The first plane pieces have been found since the crash, and 41 of the 228 people on board have been found in the Atlantic. Bits and pieces of the plane are being found, but the voice recorders or “black boxes” are still missing. They may contain the information needed to find the cause of the crash.

Investigators are also questioning repairs on the plane as well. The plane was supposed to have the Pitot tube totally replaced. No one is quite sure whether this part had a problem or if it was in anyway responsible for causing the crash to occur.

Many plane crash causes remain a mystery, even when those plane crashes have had video taken of them as they occurred. And of course, when the wreckage remains on the bottom of the ocean, the mystery deepens. Family and friends wonder if the truth of this crash’s cause will ever be entirely understood or known.

In search for the all telling black boxes, a French nuclear submarine has joined in this search. Due to the rugged floor of the ocean, finding these boxes is proving to be a difficult task. Sonar is being used by the sub to pick up the acoustic beacons of the boxes, which will start fading away in about three weeks. The United Sates is also supplying underwater audio devices to help pick up these signals.

Many theories remain as to why Flight 447 crashed. Evidence has yet to fully show which theories as to its cause may be right. Investigators continue their quest to solve this mystery, and want to find out what happened to cause this catastrophe, a crash that cost so many people their lives.
