Personal Trainers Find Satisfaction At Work

July 30, 2009 on 10:35 am | In News | Comments Off

The field of personal training is expanding at about the same rate as American waistlines. Obesity is a serious and growing problem among average Americans. As medical research links more health risks, like heart disease, hypertension and stroke to even moderate obesity, more Americans are trying to improve their health by getting fit. Some companies have even opened employee fitness centers in an effort to improve their employees’ health and reduce the cost of health insurance.

This has created a huge demand for certified personal fitness trainers. Personal fitness trainers work with their clients on nutrition and exercise programs that are tailored to the individual. The goal is to improve the client’s overall health by increasing their level of fitness.

Personal trainers need to be competent in several areas in order to properly serve their clients. The first area is nutrition. One reason for the epidemic of obesity is the poor diet than many Americans chose to eat. High fat foods and refined sugars add unnecessary calories without providing nutrition. The personal trainer works with his clients to encourage a healthy diet with less fat and sugar and better nutrition, not just for weight loss, but for overall health.

The second area is general medical knowledge. You will need to be aware of any chronic health complaints your client suffers from and the impact of the condition on their ability to participate in physical activities. Some clients don’t decide to address their fitness issues until after they discover a problem. You need to know the individuals limitations and you may need to speak with their doctor regarding special dietary needs and physical activity before you can design their fitness plan.

Nutrition is an important part of overall fitness and the personal trainer has to know about basic nutrition. Part of a fitness trainer’s job is to work with his clients to improve their diet. Motivating clients to eat healthy foods and cut high fat foods and refined sugars from their diets is important. Since there is more to fitness than exercise, the trainer has to cover other issues.

Setting up proper exercise programs is central to the job of personal fitness training. The trainer must consider the individual clients fitness level, general health and age and set up a program that meets all the client’s needs. The trainer must be well versed in both aerobic and strength training exercise and equipment, since a balanced approach to exercise contains elements of both.

Training to become a certified personal trainer can be done in a number of ways. You can chose a college program at either the associates or bachelors level (2 or 4 year), or you can enter a training program to earn the necessary credits to become certified. This is a rewarding career choice both from the standpoint of salary and from the satisfaction of helping people improve their health and their lives. You can chose to be a private trainer or work in the fitness industry.

Personal trainers have rewarding careers and the ability to make as much or more income than many college graduates. Look into the career possibilities for personal trainers today.

What is Freemasonry? – Freemasonry Secrets Revealed

July 28, 2009 on 1:21 am | In News | Comments Off

Freemasonry is by far not a new organization or religious group. Its been around for many many years although having slight variation in names according to the country and state they are related to. It’s an organization that has always had a mysticism attached to it as the participants do not openly discuss the intricate workings of their organization.

They started off as a simple group of Masons who were responsible for the spectacular building of the old abbeys and castles that were famous for their grandeur during the 17th century. They formed their own guilds and called themselves Operative Masons which was fitting being as to the type of work them were in. Then there was a reduction in the building of cathedrals which played a large part in their work. This led the Operative Masons to open their doors for membership for non Masons. They were given the name of Speculative or Accepted Masons. The groups became mostly made of the Accepted Mason and their groups were officially known as Lodges. There were several groups or lLdges and in 1717 there were four of these groups that held regular meetings in London England. They amalgamated and formed the first Grand Lodge which was sphere headed by one Grandmaster. This was the beginning of the Freemasonry as it stands today. Not only has this organization withstood the passing of time they have grown where they now boast of having around 150 of these Grand Lodges throughout the world. Their total membership is in excess of four million Masons.

Their organization is built on the concept of all men are brothers and come under the rule of a Supreme Being, although they do not promote themselves as a religious group. They serve no one denomination but expect their members to serve the God of their choice according to their personal beliefs. Although there are Grand Masters for each lodge there is no Supreme Master that rule over the whole body of lodges. In order for a lodge to be considered a true freemasonry lodge it must adhere to the code that has been set for the mason. Most often one Grand Master will preside over several lodges that reside within a specified jurisdiction.

Their general function is somewhat like any men?s club. In fact some have been known to refer to the Freemasonry as a fraternity. The men have regular meetings as a form of companionship. They encourage strong moral ethics. The mysticism comes into play with their well known secrecy. They are known to have rituals that center on the purpose of life and where morals take the lead. The whole basis of this organization is self improvement center on brotherly love, and truth. They must put every effort into applying this to their daily lives. They put heavy emphasis on charitable acts.

Membership is not granted easily. They do not advertise for new members but that doesn?t mean they aren?t approachable. Any prospective member must be at least 18 years of age and possess the expected character and reputation that all Freemasonry members do. They must be morally strong and believe in a higher being. This group is so adamant about their requirement they actually investigate the character of anyone being considered for membership. When one looks upon Freemasonry it depicts a very high standard way of life. Having a membership in a Lodge means that a learning experience will begin. Not only does a mason have to talk morally but must live what they believe. Patriotism is essential by respecting authority figures. He must also possess a willingness to stay active in his Lodge and participate in whatever endeavors that particular lodge takes on.

Always remember that where there are readers there is always something interesting to read. The only reason why people read is because they require something. If you honestly want to achieve some kind of decent readership numbers, you really must try hard to make your content interesting and actually relevant to what your readers want to read about.

First of all, bare in mind that communication is the key. Moreover, your communication must be honest. The time when you publish your content is also the time when you let your true self out. Blogs are personal in nature and communication is the key to being personal. The fact that each blog is unique because each writer is unique is enough for you to not need to worry about similarities with other blog entries. Bare in mind that whatever topic you are blogging about you must incorporate your personality into your writing.

In order to establish a loyal target audience, it is important for them to trust you and relate to you. It does not necessarily mean that they have to know your personal details, but you have to connect with your readership in an authentic manner. After establishing your communication with your readership, the content must also be credible. The blog needs to have authenticity even though credibility takes long time to build.

The moment you begin publishing your content, which is, of course, of high value and usefulness to the readers, you will also start establishing your authority on that subject. There will come a time when your readers will ask you for advice or seek your opinion. This is the time when you have achieved a sort of credibility and you must use this to build your reputation as an expert and a blogger.

Blogger’s Block: Blogging is writing, but just uses a different medium. There are several ways to fight blogger’s block. Always keep in mind that your blog is there to serve you and not to hinder you. You did not try blogging because you have prolific writing skills or a degree in journalism. The fact is that you have something you want to say and you want others to hear. However, if you are stuck for an idea, there are several suggestions that you can apply when trying to create content for your blog.

You could try reading other peoples’ blogs for inspiration. Visit those blogs that are on subjects that interest you and pick ideas and topics from those blogs that might be worth blogging about on your own blog. However, keep in mind the relevance of the topic to your readership. You can also use syndicated updates. You do this by subscribing to news services , which let you input a few keywords. Anything relevant to those keywords is then sent to you automatically on a daily basis. Yahoo and Google, amongst others, offer these services This is very useful for bloggers.

Freemason Symbols And Their Meanings – Freemasons Secrets

July 26, 2009 on 1:31 am | In News | Comments Off

There are many that believe that Masonry is some secretive type of religion where as the Freemasons vigorously refute this. They will tell you that yes they have a alter which supports the volume of the Sacred Law. Just what this is is not quite clear. They stipulate they open their meeting in prayer, but it is unclear as to whom they are praying to. Some temples will tell you that you just have to believe in a supreme being, while others say it is God. Then there is the concept because they use the name of temple for their meeting places then it must be religious. They state that they simply encourage their members to be active in a religion and church of their own choice.

It would seem that a new member would often receive a Masonic Bible as a gift. The claim is made that this is most often the Holy Bible being the King James Version. It has an added front page to name the recipient of the gift and the purpose for receiving it. Some of them may have a special index to show what the rituals are referring to in regards to scripture verses.

This can become quite confusing based on other information they have supplied. They say they don?t force a member into believing in God, yet they hand out King James Bibles. They say they don?t preach religion yet they depict scripture in their rituals.

In reference to rituals, they offer the fact that anything that is done repeatedly is a form of ritual. Such as starting a school program everyday with the same opening, or ongoing business meetings. The purpose of their rituals is simply a teaching aid, a way of getting their point across.

When it comes to reference of their use of symbols they simply indicate that any type of communication is a form of symbol and will quite often used the ordinary stop sign as being a symbol to indicate a purpose or meaning. The most common symbols used by the masons are?

The square and compass is the trademark of the Freemasons The square is meant to depict the earth and its responsibility to honor and truthfulness as well as integrity. The compass is a symbol of the spirit and self-control The G stands both for geometry in accordance with the beliefs of historical science in its relationship with God, and it stands for God as well. The gavel is to depict self-control and self-discipline as being key components of man. The hourglass is a reminder that time stands still for no man and there is no room for procrastination.

The meanings of most of the other Masonic symbols are obvious. The gavel teaches the importance of self-control and self-discipline. The hourglass teaches us that time is running up and procrastination is not an option.

The Masons have certain specific that they indicate that they teach. According to some they state that they teach, that God is the creator therefore all humans are children of God therefore they are all brothers and sisters. It would seem that this is the very concept that Christianity teaches yet the Masons feel they are not a religious organization. Their whole goal is to promote their members to be constantly bettering themselves spiritually and morally. This too is a goal of Christianity. When one looks closely at what the Masons purport as their teachings they on the surface look no different to what many of the standard religions teach.

Plan Your Blog

July 25, 2009 on 3:58 am | In News | Comments Off

This article discusses the fundamentals of blogging, including your style of writing, blog category and the content of your blog. Planning your blog can be hard, especially if you do not know what you want to talk about. It can be extra difficult if you do not have the necessary background in blogging. However, knowing what you want to blog about can come to you easily once you start browsing and looking at other blogs. You can take ideas from those blogs, expound on them and make them the basis of your own blog.

Blogging Categories: in general, there are several kinds of blog. Nevertheless, there are three popular categories of blogs: the organizational, business and personal blogs.

The first category, the organizational blog, uses the power of blogs to communicate either externally with the public or internally within their organizations. This kind of blog has the purpose of facilitating internal communication among employees, colleagues and other organizational personnel. Furthermore, organizational blogs normally publish information that is of interest to the public. In certain instances, there are organizational blogs that publish details about seminar schedules, meetings, and announcements for their clients, customers or members.

Business blogs, on the other hand, are used to promote the services or products offered by a particular business in order to try to increase profits, revenue and interest in potential consumers. These kinds of blogs look for ways to increase their reputation and authority with affiliates, customers and partner vendors. They try to do this by publishing articles that expresses their expertise and knowledge within a specific market section, niche or industry.

Personal blogs are those blogs that have contents that are more a reflection of that blogger’s opinions and thoughts. Normally, they are used to publish articles that voice their points of view on various kinds of events and topics. Bloggers who publish personal content usually find pleasure in documenting their everyday lives, stream of consciousness and even their hatred of specific events through pieces that reflect their mood.

The Target Audience. Your target audience and blogging style ought to come hand in glove. The moment you think of creating your own blog, you must first understand what your target audience is. You need to understand what they want, need and desire to read about. The blog you write and the contents you publish needs to provide quality and value to the readers in order to be effective in establishing communication and an expanding readership.

More so, the sort of blog you want to create essentially creates its own target audience. For instance, an organizational blog is meant for those who are members or clients of a certain organization. Although the target audience may be limited, there is a good opportunity for consistency with regards to the dialogue you create with your readers and eventually more people will be interested in your blog.

The afore-mentioned personal blogs are not normally created for social dialogue with a certain target readership of any category and is rather meant to serve as a collection of your thoughts. These kinds of blogs are best reserved for your close friends and family whether or not they can be called your target audience is another question.

However, if you identify your target audience well, the messages that you want people to read will be effectively targeted. Some of the biggest joys of blogging come from your enthusiasm in publishing significant information for a community where there is an opportunity for the free exchange of opinions between the readers and yourself.

What The Roman Catholic Has To Say About Freemasonry

July 24, 2009 on 4:34 am | In News | Comments Off

Freemasons have often made the claim that any member may practice any religion they choose provided they believe in a “Supreme Being”. Christians have wondered if it is appropriate for them to belong to this fraternity particularly when the Roman Catholic Church has banned Catholics from becoming part of that society.

There have been many writers and religious leaders that have openly condemned the Masons and there are several books written on the subject. Amongst some of the other religions, it is believed that the Freemasons are a group whose main goal is for world unification. One author happened to pass away shortly after publishing an anti mason book called the Brotherhood. His death created talk that the author had been killed because of orders from the Lodge.

Some of the stronger anti Masons claim that even Albert Pike who was a well-known Mason admitted that The Masons serve Lucifer. They have been accused as being racist and pagan. The stories will go to the point where they state that Mason will actually commit murder to protect their highly secretive rituals.

The Freemasons are accurately known for their support of Hiram. He was the stonemason that worked on the Temple of Solomon. It is said that the Freemasons of today have placed Hiram on such a high pedestal they actually worship him.

It?s hard to determine what facts many of the anti Mason authors have based their conclusions on. The Freemasons are widely known for their secrecy so it would be hard for one of the many authors to obtain factual information without actually filtrating the organization. One such author, William Schnoebelen has been said to claim himself as once being a Satanist as well as ex-Mormon and ex-Mason. He claims that the Masons are party to the 50,000 ritual murders that have taken place yearly across North America.

Another famous author claims that Masons have an agenda to go to libraries to remove anti Mason books and find any sensitive Mason historical documents. Naturally it would be fair to say that the Freemasons adamantly refute all of these allegations. They claim they are just a simple society of Brotherhoold that have joined for fellowship.

The Freemasons will stand on the support of Wallace McLeod is purported as being one of the most knowledgeable Masonic Historian as well as professing Christian. He indicates that much of the anti mason knowledge and literature is lies and half-truths. He supports the claim that Albert Pike never indicated the worship of Satan.

All the claims that Freemasons are involved in murder are denied as well, with the exception of one case. This particular case involves an ex-mason by the name of William Morgan who wrote an expose on the secret rituals of the Masonry. It believed that a few radical Masons killed him over this expose, but this was not with the blessings of the Masons as a whole.

Somewhere the musings of the Freemasons had to start. It is believed that it is all based on Albert Pikes, ?Masonic Rites and Wrongs?. Apparently, Pike referred to parallel drawing going back in History to Egyptian religions were occult in nature. The Freemasons claim they pay little regard to this type of teaching in today?s modern ages. There they have been other key figures who have Mason?s rituals for the purpose of the occult but the body of the Freemasons does not condone this.

When all of the issues are summarized, the Freemasons feel that the negativity towards them is based on their acceptance of all religious sectors and not just Christianity. It could be said that all according to the Masons acceptance of all religions that they feel all lead to heaven.

It has been perceived that although at one time it was highly probably that blood rituals were part of this Fraternity it has long since been dispelled with.

Therefore, when it comes down to the Masons stand on Christianity it would seem that no matter who argues what there is no positive answers to this long lasting question.

Christians V.S Freemasons – The Epic Struggle Of Religion

July 23, 2009 on 1:04 am | In News | Comments Off

It?s quite well known that the much of the negativity that is shown towards the Freemasons is based on what is believed to be their secrecy. It would seem with all of the books and materials that have been published over the years there couldn’t possibly be any secrets left unturned if there were some in the first place. Others state that because the secrecy is the priority of the Masons what goes on has never been really released. The Masons look at the fact of keeping their rituals a secret as a bond and not some sinister act. Pro Masons will tell you there are no blood oaths or ceremonies that take place amongst the Masons and certainly no physical violence.

Anti Masons who refer to violence by way of punishment within the Mason walls have been said to glean their information from historical data of the Masons. This is not to say that the Masons of the 1700?s were party to violent acts either. It is said that their references from those days in regards to punishment was purely symbolic.

So where does the speculation come in that a Christian because of his beliefs could never become a Mason? It is based on the fact that the Freemasons state they allow all religions to enter their group. It is known that not all religious groups believe in Christ in the same way that the Christians do. The Christians believe that if they do not accept Christ as their way to get into heaven then there is no other way. Other religions do not abide by this. So how could a Christian become part of this organization that says a member must believe in a ?Superior Being??

The argument goes further. If there are Christians amongst the Masons that have the Christian belief then they are amongst those who they call their brothers that are non-Christian.

In addition to all of this the Freemasons also lays out a plan of salvation, which is depicted, with their ritual of the Common Gavel. It is said by some that this ritual is directed towards those who do not believe in Christ.

Therefore, what is believed to be the actual stand that the Freemasons have on religion. It is indicated that the Lodges have one main deity called the ?The Great Architect of the Universe?. In the lodge, all members must pray to this deity. They supposedly have a ritual that is based on the afterlife called the ?slaying and raising of Hiram Abif, who is know to be the Hero of the Masons.

The argument based on actions such as this would raise a better question as to what do Freemasons constitute as a religion if they do not consider themselves as such. In answer to this, some will say they do not have all of the constitution of what constitutes religion. They are referring to no creed, no claim to faith or doctrine, no theory and no worship regimes. They have no religious symbols such as those found in other religions. They raise no money for religion.

It is well known and that the Freemasons date back to at least the 1700?s and most likely even further than that. In those days, it was simply a gathering of stonemasons that enjoyed each other?s fellowship. It grew over the years as to what we now know as the Freemasons. It would seem more emphasis is placed on the fellowship as opposed to the literal sense of the trade of masonry.

Uncover The Secret Teachings Of Freemasonry

July 22, 2009 on 4:15 am | In News | Comments Off

There is little argument to be made against the fact that the Freemasons are built on the past and their whole society is based on keeping the past alive. It would seem that there are very few modern day concepts or teachings that are incorporated into what the Freemasons stand for as of today.

It is known that this group keeps the past alive by allegory. All allegory is portraying a story within a story. It doesn’t mean that the story has to be true. The freemasons are reported to act out various stories to make a point. It doesn’t mean that what they are acting out is an actual occurrence. In other words they are making an example of a point they want to get across, sort of like the moral of a story (but the story is a legend).

To give you a good example of the concept the Freemasons have what is called the Hiramic Legend. This legend is acted out to graphically portray what the legend stands for. Incidentally, there are many legends that the freemasons depend on, but they are only acted out according to the degrees of the order. For example, the Hiramic Legend is only acted out at the 3rd Master Masons degree. The legend is based on the temple of Solomon.

The Freemasons purport that they use this lesson as a symbol to reach to the soul and spirit of the individual by their placing an everlasting impression on their minds of what the role they are playing stands for. In this case, it depicts how good overruled evil and life overpowers death. In support of their actions the Freemasons make note that these attributes are portrayed every day though songs and stories.

It would seem that the Freemasons believe that there have always been legends regarding the good guy being killed and then returning to life. They attribute this as this being common amongst many religions. It is believed that this is where the ancient Freemasons conceived the idea of using the legends as a learning tool. Hence the formation of the Hiramic Legend.

It is believed that the legend was incorporated into Shakespeare?s play Mac Beth. Incidentally, a Hiram Abif worked on the temple of Solomon. Both the Freemasons and anti freemasons will agree upon this point. It?s after this point that the accounting of the legends change.

Moving onto times that are more modern yet still reverting to history there was speculation that Adolph Hitler detested the Freemasons.

Again, there are arguments for both sides, the Freemasons and the anti Freemasons that can be made regarding this particular issue. The Freemason?s view Hitler?s take on them as being symbolic in the fact that the catholic church opposed the Freemasons, therefore two strong entities being the church and the Freemasons were divided, which meant that Hitler felt it opened the door for him to conquer both. If this was true and he believed this premise then he would have no reason to fear them. Therefore, the speculation of the anti Freemasons that Hitler feared the freemasons could not be true.

To support their claim the anti Freemasons point out that Freemasonry was not operating in any of the countries controlled by Hitler during World War II. The Freemasons claim this to be a fallacy albeit those Freemasons that existed met in secrecy.

As in any controversy, there are always pros and cons for both sides of the argument. As you can see this is no different when it comes to the credence of the Freemasons.
